news on the Soles front

Things seem relatively quiet this week. One item of significance, however, is the arrival of Jamie's new album, Memorials. This is a very fine family album, built around the theme of the signs God gave between Himself and His people. Tim Gallant suggests this may be Jamie's best album to date.

Meanwhile, please pray for the Soles family as they are in Oregon. May they find refreshment and be a blessing to others.

church barbecue

Tomorrow (Sunday, June 4) we will be having a church barbecue at the Callahans' residence (10017 - 85 Ave) following our Lord's Day worship. We look forward to welcoming our brothers and sisters from Fort St John who plan to be with us tomorrow.

first prayer meeting

Our initial prayer meeting was held this morning at 8 a.m. in the Aberdeen Centre boardroom. We had a good time of thanksgiving and intercession. If you wish to join us, remember to mark your calendars for the first Saturday of every month.

items for prayer

There are numerous matters for us to bring before the Lord. Here are a few:

  • One or more bugs continue to go around. Pray for the ill and afflicted.
  • The Soles family is heading out for vacation and Family Camp (in Oregon) tomorrow. In addition, Jamie is hoping to secure a concert in the Vancouver area through the efforts of Tym and Hester Van Braeden. Pray that the Lord would watch over the Soles family, refresh them, and make them a blessing in their musical service to His Church.
  • The continuing ministry of our church, and in particular, that we would be wise, gracious and courageous in sharing the faith with those who do not know Jesus.
